Frequently Asked Questions (AeroGuard)

Almost all of the support requests that we receive concern one of the topics in these FAQs or listed in the support menu.

After I log in, there are no courses available.

Course enrollments are handled by AeroGuard. If you think you should have access to a course, but it does not appear in the list of available courses, please contact your instructor or academic advisor.

I tapped on a course, but it states it is unavailable because the prerequisite has not been completed.

AeroGuard requires that you complete the prerequisite course before beginning the next course (e.g., Private Pilot before Instrument). A course is completed when the following 5 requirements are satisfied:

  • All lessons completed
  • All stage check exams passed
  • 5 simulated FAA exams with average of 90% with no single score below 80%
  • Minimum course time is met
  • End of course exam passed

You can review your completion status by tapping Course Requirements in the side menu.

Can you unlock the next course before I finish the prerequisite course?

We cannot unlock courses. AeroGuard requires students to complete the prerequisite course before starting the next course.

Can I get an endorsement to take the FAA exam after I finish the course?

Yes, one of our instructors will provide you with an endorsement after you complete the course requirements.

How do I contact technical support?

If you are experiencing a technical issue such as unexpected app behavior or crashes, please open a support request here. Before opening a support request, please check the support topics on this page to see if your issue is addressed.

When opening a support request, it is important to provide all of the requested information, and to be as detailed as possible. General reports of certain functionality "not working" are not helpful in troubleshooting, and will delay a resolution of your issue.

Can I use my course offline?

If the course has SecureTraining enabled (all FAA certification courses), then it must be used while connected to the internet. Other courses may be used offline on our iOS app, provided that you download and install the course before disconnecting from the internet. Your progress will not be backed up to our database or synced to other devices until you reconnect to the internet.

If you using FlightReady on a web browser, a constant internet connection is required at all times.

What is SecureTraining?

SecureTraining provides a controlled environment to ensure that students are utilizing course content effectively and meeting AeroGuard's training objectives. This is accomplished by enforcing course requirements and rules of conduct. For more information, about SecureTraining click here.

I forgot my password. How can I change it?

You can change your password by tapping the Forgot Password. You will then be sent a verification code to the email registered to your account. That code needs to be entered in the app along with a new password. See this support article for more information.

When I try to log in, the app returns an error that my "user does not exist."

This means that there is no account registered with the email address you entered. Your account may have been created with a different e-mail address. It is also possible that you purchased one of our apps before accounts were required. In that case, simply create a new account the next time you use app. See this support article for more information.

I am trying to create an account, but have not received the verification code.

Verification codes are sent immediately, but there may be a 5-10 minute delay in receiving the code depending on your ISP's delivery policies. It is also possible that the email was filtered by your spam or junk mail filters.

For security reasons we do not have access to verification codes. If you have requested the code several times, but have not received it, we suggest trying a different e-mail address. See this support article for more information
