Accurate results, built-in help, and quick access to every function

Accurate at every altitude
Unit conversions use exact defined factors. Airspeed and altitude calculations use the full U.S. Standard Atmosphere, including the layers above 36,089 feet, so Mach numbers and true altitude remain accurate in the flight levels.
- Exact conversion factors, not rounded approximations
- TAS and Mach, plus pressure, density, and true altitude
- Results shown to as many as four decimal places

Built-in help for every function
Tap the info button on any function or conversion to see what it calculates, how to use it, and the formulas and conventions behind the result.
- What each function calculates and which values to enter
- Assumptions and limits, such as the dew point convergence rate Cloud Base uses

Keep your most-used functions at the top
Star the functions you use most to list them at the top of the main menu, in the order you choose. Favorites sync to your other iPhones and iPads through iCloud.
You can also open any function directly from:
- Search
- Shortcuts
- Control Center
- Lock Screen
- Action button

Change units without leaving the function
Choose a unit from the menu beside a field, and related fields on the same screen change with it, so airspeed and groundspeed always use the same unit. Results carry over to related functions, which reduces repeated data entry.
- Unit menus next to the fields they control
- Reset Units returns a screen to its default units
- Large keypad with a decimal key that follows your region's number format
Made for Night Flying
Night mode uses a red-shifted amber color scheme with no blue or green to help preserve your night vision. Choose Night in Settings, or choose Auto to switch between Day and Night with your device's Light and Dark appearance.
- Applies to every screen, menu, and keypad
- Text follows your device's text size setting

A complete redesign, with new flight planning functions
Version 2.1 adds Holding Pattern. Version 2.0 redesigned every menu and screen, added six new functions, and improved the accuracy of several calculations.
Holding Pattern New in 2.1
Determine entry type and visualize the holding pattern on a compass ring. Drag the aircraft or inbound course to see how the entry changes.

Functions › NavigationCalculate weight, CG, or moment
C.G. & Moment calculates weight, CG, or moment when the other two are known. C.G. Shift calculates the unknown value when you enter three of its four values.
Weight & BalanceAlso in version 2.0
- Favorites sync across your devices through iCloud
- Open any function from Search, Shortcuts, Control Center, the Lock Screen, or the Action button
- Built-in help for every function and conversion
- The IFR Timer keeps running when your screen is locked and sends a notification when time expires
- The Time Calculator now accepts h:m time, useful for logbook entries
- Airspeed and altitude calculations now use the U.S. Standard Atmosphere above 36,089 feet. Mach, Wind Correction Angle, and fuel density calculations have been corrected.

App Store reviews
Excellent app.
"This is the best aviation calculator from those that I tried so far from the app store. It has a clear and simple user interface with large numeric keyboard, and intuitive menu for selecting functions. It also has a nice selection of functions beyond what you find in a traditional calculator. For example planning of descent rate."
Excellent
"This E6B is among the best I've seen. Besides the normal functions contained on existing e6b's this one actually surpasses the others with available functions and is very easy to use."
Nice
"I've tried most of the others, and this is the best E6B by far. Incredibly easy to use. I like how units can be changed in the function without having to go to the settings."
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it a subscription?
No. FlightReady E6B is a one-time purchase on the App Store, and updates are free.
Does it work without a cell or Wi-Fi connection?
Yes. All calculations run on your iPhone or iPad, so the app works in flight with no connection.
How accurate is it at high altitude?
Airspeed and altitude calculations use the full U.S. Standard Atmosphere, including the layers above 36,089 feet, so Mach and true altitude calculations remain accurate at high altitude.
What is new in version 2.1?
Version 2.1 adds Holding Pattern, which shows whether to fly a direct, teardrop, or parallel entry. Version 2.0 redesigned every screen and added six new functions, favorites with iCloud sync, built-in help for every function, and more accurate high-altitude calculations.
Is there a night mode?
Yes. Night mode uses a red-shifted amber color scheme designed for a dark cockpit. Auto switches between Day and Night to match your device's Light or Dark appearance.
